Silverbell Tree: Halesia is known as the Silverbell or Snowdrop Tree is native to this area. In the wild, they often look like a shrub, but they can grow up to 80 feet tall. When they are planted ornamentally they are usually 16 to 66 feet tall. The clusters of hanging flowers are white or pale pink.

They have a slight fragrance, but not so you really notice. They attract bumblebees and hummingbirds.

Silverbell Trees begin to bloom in mid-May and peak around Memorial Day. They are popular and you will see them blooming in many people's yards.
